Public Notification: Road Closure starting May 13th, 2019

The intersection of Mercill Avenue and North Cache Street will be partially closed Monday, May 13, 2019. The closure will start around 7:00 a.m. and is scheduled to be open again by 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 23rd.

Project: North Cache/Mercill Avenue Surface Repair Project

Construction Information:

Crews from Depatco Construction will be completing concrete replacement within the intersection of North Cache Street and Mercill Avenue to complete work associated with a water tie in and Mercill Avenue intersection improvements for Hidden Hollow development, a mix of deed restricted and market housing accessed by Mercill Avenue.

Road Closure Information:

The intersection of Mercill Avenue and North Cache Street will be partially closed to allow for concrete slab replacement and associated work within the intersection. A detour will be established to allow north bound traffic to utilize W. Mercill Avenue and a portion of the Cache Street/Mercill Avenue Intersection to complete a left-turn and continue northbound on Cache Street. A second detour will be developed for south bound traffic to turn right off of Cache Street on Perry Street and utilize Perry Street and Glenwood Street as a by-pass of the intersection. During construction Perry Street will be one-way westbound and the block of North Glenwood Street will be one-way southbound traffic. North bound traffic on Cache Street will be blocked at Gill avenue allowing only local access to properties north of the closure. The intersection will be closed Monday, May 13, 2019. The closure will start around 7:00 a.m. and is scheduled to be open again by 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 23rd. Local residences and business will have access during this project; however, access may be limited at times due to construction activities. No START bus routes are affected by this closure. Please plan accordingly and provide extra time to navigate the detour routes.

Pedestrian and bicyclist will be able to pass through the construction area, as the sidewalk on the east side and west side of North Cache Street will remain open.
